Africa Impact Projects

You’ll begin your Impact Project in Johannesburg, South Africa where, together with your team, you will prepare skills and learning materials to share with villagers in Zambian communities. While in South Africa, you will be able to spend weekend time experiencing the cultures and history of this nation. You’ll observe the lingering effects of apartheid, visit Nelson Mandela’s house. and sample local cuisine.

Having prepared for your service work while in South Africa, you are now ready to go to Livingstone, Zambia. You will work in truly off-the-beaten-path locations and enjoy meeting the locals as you work together with villagers near Kazungula, Zambia. You will also have time to visit an orphanage and the Grace Center where young women find protection, education, and respect. We will take a morning from our labors to visit Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world.

In order to give the Zambian villagers time to locally implement Impact Project plans, we will spend the weekend in nearby Kasane, Botswana. There, you can experience Chobe National Park on an afternoon land safari where you’ll see elephants, giraffes, and other local wildlife. Embark on a morning safari river cruise and see crocodiles, hippos, and unique African birds. After the weekend in Botswana, we will return for a final visit to our Zambian village friends.
